Everything the bake needs. Nothing it doesn't.
Lievanto gathers the work that matters for a sourdough or pizza bake: predicting, coaching, planning, and remembering, so each bake builds on the last.
Four things most baking apps get wrong.
Starter peak prediction
Log feedings with the ambient temperature. A Q10 temperature model estimates when your next rise is likely to peak, and the estimate gets more useful as your starter history grows.
Bulk fermentation coach
Check the dough with a tap: volume %, jiggle, poke, ambient temp. A live readiness estimate tells you when to shape, even if that's earlier than the clock, and scales the projection when the kitchen warms up.
Schedule planner
Pick a target, say Saturday 6 pm, and Lievanto works backwards through feed, mix, bulk, cold proof, final proof, and bake. Save the plan, add reminders, and spot awkward overnight steps before bake day.
Troubleshooting guides
Walk a decision tree for a flat loaf, gummy crumb, fool's crumb, pale crust, burst side, or off taste. Land on a diagnosis and a few concrete changes to try next time.
The more you bake, the more it knows.
Insights
A 52-week bakes histogram, a streak counter, rating-versus-variable correlations (does 70% hydration really beat 65% for you?), and your top-rated recipes by average rating.
Cook mode
Guided step-by-step with integrated timers and background notifications. Equipment-aware suggestions adapt the recipe to your kitchen, shown next to the original, never silently. Photos and notes captured in-line.
The logbook
Every bake, tied to the recipe it came from. Photos, ratings, and per-bake variables: hydration, ferment hours, flour, oven temp. Nothing forgotten between bakes.
The calculators
A full dough calculator with preferments, a DDT solver, a cold-ferment yeast calculator, pan-size, scaling, and production planning. decimal.js keeps the calculations stable.
The details that add up.
Set up your kitchen
Tell Lievanto your oven (home, stone, steel, or a dedicated pizza oven) and how you mix (by hand, stand mixer, or spiral). Cook mode then tailors temperatures, timings, and step instructions to your setup, shown next to the original, never replacing it.
Measure in your units
Read and enter every amount in the units you think in. Pick a system, metric, imperial, or baker's percentages, or set the unit per ingredient: grams for flour, millilitres for water, teaspoons for yeast. Temperatures in °C or °F.
Weather-aware on iOS
On iOS, kitchen temperature can prefill from local weather when enabled, so yeast and timing estimates start from a more useful number.
Recipe forking
Tweak a copy of any recipe without losing the original, and keep both in your library.
